When you first came to the Midwest did you know you would become The Man in a territory as quickly as you have?
“Truthfully? I didn’t. Not at first. I was just another happy to be here brother. But you spend enough time here you either become a shark or let the sharks eat you alive.”
Your ONE loss in the Territory is to Myron Reed in Indianapolis. Do you feel you were ready for that challenge at the time and if not would you be more prepared now?
“I think the match speaks for itself. Myron hit me with his best shit, a low blow, AND a belt shot to beat me. He knew I had what it took to dethrone him. And if it happens again? I’ll be even more ready than before.“
Who in MWT do you feel is ready to step up and face you for the Chain in the coming months?
“I mean at one point I would have said Daniel Starling, but when it was all said and done I did best him. I think this next show will properly set the tone, but as of right now? I’ve got one Carnie down, the next two should step right up after.“
We know that one of your future challengers will be Bradley Prescott IV who won the Smitty. Do you feel this more serious minded BPIV is a bigger challenge than some are giving him credit for or do you think he will fall back into the bits instead of bringing the fight?
“If you look at the trajectory since the last time I wrestled Bradley, I HOPE he brings the serious Bradley. He’s gonna need it.“
Where do you see yourself and The Chain going in the hierarchy of Midwest wrestling for the rest of 2025 and into 2026?
“I want to restore prestige to the chain. If I’m not trying to be the best and make the chain the top championship in the Territory? Then what the fuck am I doing here?“
