Welcome to the 43rd edition of 5 Questions! Keep in mind, these were never intended to be super in depth, but they have always been informative and hopefully fun. It’s been cool getting to know a little bit about the minds of the good folks that put their bodies on the line to entertain us. Today’s guest is a guy that will be all over the place very soon so you should keep an eye on him.

What can I say about “The Dark Prophet”? Orin is a damn good kid that is constantly improving and evolving his game. He has stepped outside of his comfort zone in the past year and knocked it out of the park. I have seen him be a part of some really good matches and be put in situations where a guy with his level of experience shouldn’t succeed but he did. Oh, and I literally saw him save another wrestler’s life this year. I can’t say enough good stuff about this guy but I’ll let him introduce himself to you so you get an idea of what I’m talking about.

“My name is Orin Veidt. I’m a Hybrid/Deathmatch Wrestler from the Minnesota area. I’ve been at this for 3 years. I have just recently been able to really do deathmatches and don’t plan on turning back.”

Well with the introductions out of the way let’s start the show!

1: You had one of my favorite matches of the year against JC Rotten at IWA Mid-South’s “Guardians of Hardcore 2. What kind of mindset did you have to get yourself into for a contest like that?

“Man, JC and I were the sleeper match on a stacked card for sure. I definitely had the least amount of experience in deathmatches compared to everyone else. I went out there with the mindset of proving to the fans and myself that I belong in the deathmatch scene. I wanted to show that I can hang and deliver on the same level that the other big name guys can. I’m very proud of the match JC and I had, and I can’t wait to bleed in an IWA ring again.”

2: You get to main event WrestleMania this year and pick your opponent, who is the person you would most like to face?

“If it’s a WWE guy, I’m working either AJ or Joe. Two of my childhood heroes and two of the best in the world without a doubt.”

3: If you could work for any promotion in wrestling history, what would it be?

ECW. That’s what made me fall in love with hardcore matches as a kid. I was hooked and wanted so badly to be one of those guys.”

4: Is there a song that you LOVE that everyone else thinks is awful?

“Id say anything by James Blunt. Lots of guys hate on him but he is one of my top three artists of all time.”

5: In your opinion who is the greatest Professional Wrestler of all time?

Dino Bravo. No questions asked. Just kidding. As someone who was never a big 80’s/90’s guy I’m gonna have to say AJ. When he retires it’s going to be tough to not mention him as one of the greatest ever.”

There we have it guys, another 5 Questions have come and gone.

Once again I would like to thank our guest for joining us today and spending some of his precious free time answering questions like this. These folks have a lot on their plates so I appreciate Orin taking time to answer these for us. Try and support him where you can, I’d greatly appreciate it.
